Sumiko Black Pearl MM Cartridge

The Sumiko Black Pearl pickup is the little brother of the Sumiko Pearl. The two share the same cartridge body and all the same basic technical qualities. With a spherical stylus on an improved cantilever you will experience a rich musical output, benefiting from great channel separation and a wide frequency response. 

Sumiko Black Pearl delivers an engaging and warm sound with a rustic touch and more “in your face” kind of way of performing compared to the big brother, Sumiko Pearl. 

The Sumiko Black Pearl is a Moving Magnet cartridge which gives you the possibility to change the stylus when it is worn out or breaks. In this case you can later upgrade to the elliptical Pearl stylus should you wish to try this.

To get the full benefit of this fine Sumiko cartridge it is essential to mount it properly in terms of overhang, azimut and horizontal alignment.
