JICO Cartridges
JICO began its journey in 1873, originally crafting sewing needles for kimonos. Over the years, the company mastered precision engineering and fine craftsmanship — skills that later laid the foundation for its audio innovations. In 1964, JICO applied that expertise to create diamond-tipped styli, setting a new benchmark for quality in the industry.
With the launch of the SETO-HORI Moving Coil (MC) cartridge, JICO has taken a significant step into the world of high-end phono cartridges — combining traditional Japanese craftsmanship with modern audio engineering.
In addition to the SETO-HORI, JICO also offers a growing selection of Moving Magnet (MM) cartridges. These include the J44, J50, and Impact — each delivering trusted sound quality and durability for a variety of listening applications.
