Special Styli for Ortofon OM 30 variants

The Stylus 78 allows your OM 30 variant to be used for the playback of 78 RPM mono records. It has a spherical tip with a radius of 65 micrometer and works best at a tracking force of 2,0g +/- 0,25g. Note that the p-mount standard stipulates a tracking force og 1,25g +/- 0,25g and that the Stylus 78 therefore works best in the LM, OM, OMB, and Concorde variants. The AN2091 Black Diamond DJ-E replacement is a nude elliptical replacement with a sturdy cantilever that tracks best at 2.5 - 3.0g. You can use it if you want to use your OM 30 variant in a pro-like setting.

The Ortofon Stylus 1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 30, and 40 variants are all compatible with all houses in the Ortofon Super OM, OM, OMB, OMP, OMT, LM, LMA, LMB, TM, TMB, SMB, SME and Concorde Hifi ranges. In all cases you will get an improvement when you replace a lower number stylus with a higher number one: If, for example, you replace the stylus of you OM-5e with a Stylus 20 (or equivalent) then you effectively transform your OM-5E cartridge
