ATN-15 Stylus for Audio Technica AT-15 E/Ea/XE/S/Sa/SS
Audio Technica Stylus Replacements
ATN-15 / ATN-15SS for Audio Technica AT-15 S/Sa/SS
The original Audio Technica ATN-15 mated a nude Shibata tip to a tapered aluminum alloy cantilever. The subsequent ATN-15SS used a berylium cantilever. Our replacements come with bonded tips and aluminum alloy cantilevers, but will still result in exceptional sound. Our hyper-elliptical replacements are not quite on the level of our Shibata replacements but almost - they represent very high value for money.

The Audio Technica AT-15 was the best Moving Magnet (MM) cartridge mass produced by Audio Technica in the 1970s (See below). During its lifespan the AT-15 was consistently available in both a nude elliptical version and a nude Shibata version meant for quadrophonic playback. Over time both variants were improved several times - the elliptical variant in versions AT-15E, AT-15Ea, and AT-15XE, and the Shibata variant in versions AT-15S, AT-15Sa, and AT-15SS. Each iteration brought improvements to the cantilever system where the moving mass was gradually lowered and compliance optimized. The development culminated with the AT-15SS (Super Shibata) that carried a size-optimized nude Shibata diamond on a berylium cantilever - widely considered among the best MM cartridges ever produced.
The replacements offered on this page will work in all variants of the Audio Technica AT-15.
