The Marantz turntable TT-551 came with two different cartridges over the years. Both cartridges were called CT-551 which can cause some confusion.
The earliest versions had the black plastic design. The later version had a blue plastic build (shown on this page) which was quite different. The needles for these two cartridges are not interchangeable.
Please make a visual inspection of your Marantz CT-551 cartridge before ordering or contact our support team if in doubt.
