We are proud to present JICO’s meticulously engineered replica of the legendary Shure V15 Type III — one of the most revered moving magnet cartridges ever produced. First introduced in 1973, the V15 Type III set a new standard for precision, clarity, and fidelity in vinyl playback. Recreating it has been a monumental undertaking, and one that JICO approached with deep respect and technical ambition.

This faithful replica is the result of more than four years of focused research and development, following the success of JICO’s J44 Custom Shop cartridge in 2021. Drawing on the experience gained from that project, JICO’s engineers dedicated themselves to every detail of the V15 Type III’s internal design — from body material to stylus compliance — aiming to match the performance and spirit of the original down to the finest nuance.

The cartridge features a lightweight elliptical diamond stylus, housed in a permalloy and ABS body, with channel separation, frequency response, and tracking precision that honor the excellence of the Shure original. At just 6 grams, and with a recommended tracking force of 1.0 gram, this cartridge delivers refined, accurate sound with exceptional resolution across the spectrum.

The V15 Type III was always more than a cartridge — it was a benchmark in analog fidelity. With this release, JICO has not just brought it back to life, but reaffirmed its place at the very top of the moving magnet hierarchy.
